I have been involved in the community media specializing in radio since 1992 at the age of 15.  I am a presenter on Hastings Community Radio’s 2WAY FM 103.9 and have produced many programs. Over my 14 years in the community radio sector have been a member of the stations management committee and programming committee as well as being involved in the technical department as a maintenance technician and technical director. I am also assisting another community station in the Hastings valley were and when I can. .Peter holds a Certificate 2 in Community Radio Broadcasting (NSW TAFE) and has been a teacher for NSW TAFE teaching the same course.

I believe strongly in local presence of media and I am encouraged by the community stations providing the real community services the commercial stations have long forgotten about by just having volunteer staff present until at least 10pm at night.

Peter also is involved in maintaining the community stations website http://www.2wayfm.org and is also responsible for the technical planning and implementation of equipment at the community radio station. 

I have also assisted the local Christian community station in Port Macquarie with some technical advice and volunteer work.
